Upcoming West Virigina Mission trip

Who: a group of about 12 people from First Church

What: a short mission trip involving a light construction/renovation project

Where: around Philippi, West Virginia

When: evening of Friday, May 13th, returning Sunday, May 13th in the afternoon.

How much: $40 per person (covers food, lodging, and construction materials)

This mission trip is conducted through an organization called World Servants. They have been organizing mission trips both nationally and internationally for years. The focus of our work in the beautiful Appalachian hills is to bring a “hand up” and the message of Christ’s love and offer of abundant life. The mission trips include ministry to both the spiritual and physical needs of a community.  The mission teams have an opportunity to connect with a family in serious need of home repairs and cleaning; and in most cases, the family works right alongside the group.  The relationships created during this time not only create a platform for sharing the love of God, they are a blessing to everyone involved!
